Chief Master Sergeant Jeremiah W. Ross is Command Chief Master Sergeant for Seventh Air Force, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. He serves as the personal advisor to the Commander on all matters regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization of more than 8,500 Total Force Airmen and family members across the Korean Peninsula. As the senior enlisted Airman for the Combined Air Component Command of United Nations Command and Combined Forces Command, he partners with Republic of Korea and joint service senior leaders, ensuring the combat readiness of the U.S.-ROK Alliance.
Chief Ross was raised a Navy dependent prior to entering the Air Force in 1999 as an intelligence analyst. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of leadership positions serving at the squadron, wing, combatant command, and Headquarters Air Force levels. He has considerable joint service experience and participated in multiple operations to include deployments in direct support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, and IRAQI FREEDOM.
Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader, Deputy Chief of Staff, Plans and Programs, Headquarters Air Force. In this capacity, he was principal advisor to the senior Air Force officers responsible for the development, integration, evaluation, and analysis of the Air Force Program across the Future Years Defense Plan, ensuring the Air Force builds and employs effective air, space, and cyber forces to achieve national defense objectives. Chief Ross also served as an executive advisor to the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force and the Air Force Senior Enlisted Leader Council.
