The Wolf Pack welcomed back Maj. Gen. Linda S. Hurry, director of logistics, deputy chief of staff for logistics, engineering and force protection, Headquarters Air Force, Feb. 1, 2023.

Hurry’s visit focused on learning the logistical steps and processes Kunsan uses to execute its mission in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific theater. She also promoted the Theory of Constraints, a methodology used to identify the weakest link in a process and refocus all efforts on improving that area.

“We’re approaching this from a holistic manner, and we came to listen to the bright ideas from the Airmen executing the mission so we can implement those solutions at other bases,” Hurry said. “This will improve the whole Air Force’s ballgame.”

During her time at Kunsan, several 8th Mission Support Group and 8th Maintenance Group flights explained their capabilities within the 8th Fighter Wing and provided Hurry the chance to hear directly from the Airmen what they need to be more efficient.

“This gives Gen. Hurry the opportunity to go out into the field see the mission directly, understand some of the successes and constraints and help the Air Force build a better strategy as they develop policies in the Pentagon,” said Maj. Jason Bramlett, 35th Fighter Generation Squadron commander.

After touring around the base with her, 8th FW leaders took note of the time she took to speak with each flight.

“We appreciate [her] coming out and giving us her time,” said Col. Henry R. Jeffress III, 8th FW commander. “We are happy to hear about their holistic approach to Air Force process improvement. They have our support.”
