Norman 7th Air Force, Public Affairs OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- The Honorable Frank Kendall, Secretary of the U.S. Air Force, visited Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, March 19-20, 2023. During his visit, Kendall toured the Korea Air and Space Operations Center and met with Gen. Sang-hwa Jung, Chief of Staff of the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) as well as 7th Air Force Commander USAF Lt. Gen. Scott L. Pleus, ROKAF Lt. Gen. Ha-Sik Park, commander of ROKAF Air Force Operations Command, and other members of the U.S. and ROK Air Forces and U.S. Space Force. Jung and Kendall discussed the long history of partnership between the nations and enduring friendships between leaders at the personal level, that make the US-ROK team such a unique alliance. Kendall toured the air operations floor and learned about the real-world and exercise activities that happen there, as Guardians and Airmen from each nation sit side-by-side and monitor airspace and control activities in the skies over Korea.
