Gen. David R. Iverson, Seventh Air Force commander, immersed himself in the 51st Fighter Wing’s “Fight Tonight” mission at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, April 22, 2024. During his visit, Iverson engaged in extensive discussions with personnel from various groups across the wing, gaining firsthand insights into the operational dynamics. He toured key facilities, examined operational procedures and participated in briefings to grasp the nuances of the wing’s mission readiness. “I am impressed by the warfighting focus and expertise demonstrated by the personnel here at the 51st Fighter Wing,” said Iverson. “Their commitment to excellence reaffirms our shared goal of maintaining the ability to respond to any challenge while supporting our people and their families.” Iverson is committed to fostering a culture of readiness, innovation, and excellence, guaranteeing the 7th AF has the necessary capabilities and resources to help ensure regional stability. “Seeing the Mustang mission in person, I know the 7th Air Force is prepared to prevail in any conflict, if required,” Iverson said.
