Job title: Personnel Security Technician

Job description and its impact on the overall mission: Manages the Seventh
Air Force (7 AF) Special Security Office (SSO) Personnel Security Program
consisting of 18 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Facilities
(SCIFs) at two geographically separated bases on the Korean peninsula
supporting a total military, civilian and defense contractor population of
2,500. Indoctrinates and provides security orientation training to newly
assigned personnel. Maintains over 9,000 security clearances on visiting
and permanent party personnel. Composes and transmits messages requesting
transfer of clearances. Receives security clearance certifications from
MAJCOM and base-level SSOs.

Family: Wife of 6 years, and a 7 month old baby boy.

Hometown: San Antonio, TX; Ellicott City, MD; Lancaster, CA; Marietta, OH; I
haven't lived anywhere long enough to call my hometown!

Hobbies: Going to the gym, skateboarding, and drumming

Why did you join the military? Steady work, guaranteed paycheck (knock on
wood), and the abundance of free educational opportunities.

Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years: In 10 years, I hope to be a 1st
Shirt. In 20 years, I see myself being retired and lazy!

What do you do for fun here? Hanging out with friends, exploring the local
area, participating in volunteer opportunities.

What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? Seeing my wife, parents, and
sister on the Bomb Run during my BMT Graduation Ceremony.

What accomplishment are you most proud of? My son.

Who are your role models? My Dad because he's undoubtedly the smartest,
hardest-working person I know; my Mom because she tolerated me for 18 years;
and my wife because if I don't mention her then I will hear about it later.
