Strong Bonds builds healthy relationships for 35th ADA Published Dec. 26, 2013 By Spc. Stephanie Clements 2-1 ADA Public Affairs CAMP CARROLL, Republic of Korea -- Soldiers from 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade came together spiritually at the Stong Bonds single Soldiers' retreat, led by the brigade's chaplains at the Dragon Hill Lodge in Yongsan, Dec. 16-18. The Soldiers learned about themselves and practiced skills that can help develop healthy relationships. "Strong Bonds is a good way to help Soldiers [establish] professional and intimate relationships," said Spc. Julian Holtmeyer, a Orderly Room Clerk, with Charlie Battery, 2nd Battalion, 1st Air Defense Artillery Regiment. To kick-off the event Chaplain Corey Arnold, 2-1 ADA chaplain, discussed the pros and cons of the basic personality types and how they can be used together to accomplish the mission most efficiently. Soldiers worked on communications skills, talking and listening to their peers to best understand each other's messages. The event was met with positive reviews from the participants. "Every Soldier should participate to better understand how to communicate with various personalities," Holtmeyer said.
