People looking for more information about 7th Air Force and its role in defending the Korean Peninsula now have two new places to look; Facebook and Twitter.

Seventh Air Force is now using the two social media outlets to get the word out to local, U.S., and international audiences.

"Social media isn't a new thing for the Air Force but we are now employing it as an additional tool to highlight stories, information and photos of our Seventh Air Force Airpower Team," said Maj. Richelle Dowdell, 7th AF Public Affairs Officer. "We want to be able to reach out not only to our people here in Korea but to their families and friends worldwide, as well as the public back home in the U.S."

Followers will be able to see links to stories, photos of 7th AF Airmen on-the-job and off and post comments.

"This is the next step for us, and we're very excited to be taking it," Dowdell said.
