On July 5, United States Air Force F-35 aircraft from Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska arrived in the Republic of Korea to conduct flight operations alongside their ROK Air Force counterparts.

While in the Republic of Korea, the U.S. Air Force aircraft plan to operate and fly with several different U.S. and ROK aircraft, to include ROK F-35s.

The familiarization and routine training flights will enhance the interoperability of the two Air Forces to perform and operate on and around the Korean Peninsula.

The aviation training is also an opportunity for the aircrews to perform sustainment and maintenance duties to support the latest in military aircraft technology.

The aircraft plan to operate over the Republic of Korea and surrounding waters off the coasts during the scheduled ten-day training mission.
