Gen. Herbert J. Carlisle, Pacific Air Forces commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Steve McDonald, Pacific Air Forces command chief, arrived in the Republic of Korea, Nov. 27, 2012, and spoke with Airmen stationed on the peninsula. Carlisle and McDonald spoke with Osan Air Base Airmen on issues affecting the Air Force and discussed the importance of handling key issues within their units, Nov. 29-30, 2012. PACAF is responsible for Air Force activities spread over half the globe in a command that supports 45,000 Airmen serving principally in Japan, Korea, Hawaii, Alaska, and Guam. This marks the first visit to Airmen at Osan for Carlisle since taking command in August.
