Remote Airmen receive 3-star recognition

DAEGU AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Lt. Gen. Stephen G. Wood, commander 7th Air Force presents the Air Force Commendation Medal to Staff Sergeant Jacob M. Sanchez at Daegu Air Base, the largest co-located operating base in Korea. Sergeant Sanchez works in vehicle management and analysis quality assurance with the 607th Support Squadron where he oversees a fleet of 1,100 vehicles valued at 148 million dollars for two geographically separated co-located operating bases. Among his many accomplishments, Staff Sergeant Sanchez is responsible for recovering $22,000 dollars in reconstitution and parts replacements costs, as well as saving $330,000 annually in maintenance costs.
