Concrete barrier for defense
A large concrete barrier rests alongside each of the 24 tents in the Rush Park life support area at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, March 14, 2017. The barriers establish antiterrorism and force protection perimeters between each tent simulating a deployed environment. Rush Park, home to 24 tents and several K-span buildings, can house up to 520 deployed personnel. The LSA provides deployed personnel with areas for sleep, bathrooms and showers, a morale tent with games and free food served by the United Service Organizations, or USO, and a regular shuttle to and from their new home and main base. PERSCO, Services Airmen care for deployed KR17 personnel
The Key Resolve 2017 life support area, called Rush Park, is manned by two flights, posed in this photo, under the command of Lt. Col. Kevin Marzette, the Rush Park mayor at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, March 14, 2017. The Personnel Support for Contingency Operations, or PERSCO, and the Services Sustainment Flight, work hand-in-hand to ensure all forward deployed personnel lodging at Rush Park are both accounted for and comfortable.
