5th Space Warning Squadron Detachment 3 activates
U.S. Space Force Lt. Col. Micheal Provencher, 5th Space Warning Squadron commander, appoints Capt. April Dybal as commander of the newly activated 5th SWS Detachment 3 at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Oct. 27, 2023. Detachment 3, a tenant unit on Osan AB, was activated under the 5th SWS, whose mission is to uphold what was once the Army’s Joint Tactical Ground Station’s by providing missile warning systems services to the Indo-Pacific region. JTAGs will continue as a key node within the missile warning framework and are an essential to survivable missile warning across the Combatant Commands.
