7th Air Force, Air Force Operations Command hold Air Boss Conference

OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea - Air Force Lt. Gen. Jan-Marc Jouas, 7th Air Force and Combined Forces Command Air Component Commander, and Republic of Korea Air Force Lt. Gen. Park, Jae Bok, Air Force Operations Command Commander, offer opening remarks at the start of the annual 7th Air Force Air Boss Conference on July 18, 2014. The conference brought together ROKAF wing commanders and U.S. air wing commanders from every military branch across the Pacific to receive briefings on the threat posed by north Korea and how the Korea Airpower Team would conduct an air campaign in defense of the Republic of Korea. Jouas' comments reflected the importance of individual and unit readiness to respond to an attack on the ROK, saying "What's crucial is that you walk away from today's briefings understanding your part in the plan. We know north Korean capabilities have evolved, and we must be ready to respond to them." (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Thomas J. Doscher)
