7 AF commander presents Silver Star to Vietnam War aviator

FORT MYER, Va.- Lt. Gen. Jan-Marc Jouas, 7th Air Force commander, presents the Silver Star to Mrs. Jane Tidwell, accepting on behalf of Capt. Robert Tidwell for gallantry in action, Fort Myer, Va., Nov. 1, 2013, Tidwell piloted the sole anti-radiation missile aircraft, the F-4C Wild which provided close air support for B-52’s during Linebacker II during the Vietnam War, on Dec. 28, 1972.
