U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornet aircraft with the Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 533 (VMFA(AW)-533) from Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina participated in exercise Max Thunder 18 at Gwangju Air Base, Republic of Korea. The exercise was scheduled from May 14th to the 25th and conducted in accordance with the ROK-U.S. Mutual Defense Treaty signed October 1, 1953.
