U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Stephanie Stewart is a flight sergeant with the 50th Security Forces Squadron. On November 22, 2021, just before the holidays, the Defender was honored with a Stripes for Exceptional Performers promotion based upon her exceptional service, leadership and professionalism, elevating her from staff sergeant to her new rank. The STEP program allows the major command, unit commanders and senior officers to select a limited number of Airmen or Guardians with exceptional potential for promotion.
