Airmen represent their Pacific Island cultures

Ulukivaiola’s parents were born and raised in the villages of Tula and Taputimu, American Samoa. They moved to the United States when her father enlisted in the Army. Ulukivaiola and her siblings were raised to understand and love the Samoan culture, history and traditions. The American Samoan Flag embodies both American Samoa, as a U.S. Territory, and the United States. The Bald Eagle represents the U.S. and it carries a traditional Uatogi (war club) for power and fue or wisdom for traditional Samoan leaders.
