Crew members load a commercial KDC‐10 tanker aircraft prior to take‐off at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Nov. 6, 2023. The aircraft can carry 247,000 pounds of fuel for refueling plus up to 100,000 pounds of freight or passenger payload. This event was a proof-of-concept exercise to use contracted aerial refueling to support U.S. Air Force fighter aircraft.
