U.S. Army soldiers assigned to the 8th Army, 568th Medical Company, 65th Medical Brigade ground ambulance secure a simulated casualty to a litter during a mass casualty response scenario that was part of Ulchi Freedom Shield 24 at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Aug. 21, 2024. Regular and realistic mass casualty training provides opportunities to evaluate the functionality of medical equipment, vehicles and communication systems to ensure everything is in optimal condition to execute the mission. This combined exercise highlights the U.S. and Member States ironclad commitment to the alliance in building a robust defense posture to defend the people of the ROK against a spectrum of security threats.
