Expeditionary Strike Group Commander talks Talisman Sabre
Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 7
July 19, 2019 | 1:11
CORAL SEA (Jul 12, 2019) Rear Adm. Fred Kacher, Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 7, aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), answers the question, "how does an Expeditionary Strike Group compare to a Carrier Strike Group?"
Wasp, flagship of Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently participating in Talisman Sabre 2019 off the coast of Northern Australia. A bilateral, biennial event, Talisman Sabre is designed to improve U.S. and Australian combat training, readiness and interoperability through realistic, relevant training necessary to maintain regional security, peace and stability.
