Col. Murchison takes command of 607th ASOG
OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea - Col. Tracey Murchison receives his first salute from members of the 607th Air Support Operations Group during a change of command ceremony at the Osan Air Base Officers Club June 9, 2014. Murchison was previously the Director of Plans, Programs and Analyses for 7th Air Force. The 607th ASOG provides air and space power expertise, command and control of close air support and counterfire as well as operationally tailored weather support for U.S. Forces Korea and Army ground and aviation units on the Korean peninsula. It also warehouses war reserve material for "turn-the-key" operations in the event of a hostile attack or emergency.
