Honor Guard members pass the flag in a memorial ceremony dedicated to Col. Lewis Millett, an Army veteran of three wars who received the Medal of Honor for leading a bayonet charge up at Hill 180 located here at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea Dec. 14. Colonel Millett died Nov. 14 at 88 years old. Colonel Millett served 31 years in the Army and had a career that included service in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Colonel Millett received numerous awards, including the Distinguished Service Cross, the Silver Star, two Legions of Merit, three Bronze Stars, four Purple Hearts, and three Air Medals.
