CFC Kicks Off
OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea - Lt. Gen. Jan-Marc Jouas, Seventh Air Force commander, and Command Chief Master Sgt. Scott Delveau, Seventh Air Force command chief, fill out their Combined Federal Campaign paperwork in Jouas's office Sept. 18, 2013. The CFC allows members of the military and government employees to donate money to worthy causes and help those less fortunate than themselves. Last year Seventh Air Force raised more than $364,000 and plans to beat that amount this year.

CFC-Overseas begins
OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Lt. Gen. Stephen G. Wood, 7th Air Force commander, supports the 2007 Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas by filling-out his voucher to contribute and possibly win this year’s Grand Prize, a 2007 Harley Sportster. Osan's goal is to raise $300,000 in contributions and make 100 percent contact with “Team Osan” -- more than 5,000 military members and civilians -- before the campaign closes Nov. 30. Chief Master Sergeant Harry B. Viel, Jr., is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Seventh Air Force, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. As the command chief, he serves as the principle senior enlisted advisor to the commander on the morale, welfare, training, mission readiness and effective utilization of the commands more than 9,000 combat-ready enlisted personnel assigned to two wings, five collocated operating bases and 19 geographically-separated operating locations. Childhood dream becomes reality in Air Force
Tech. Sgt. Ioan Gaitan, 607th Materiel Maintenance Squadron, noncommissioned officer in charge of engineering support, inspects aggregate brought on site for an airfield project at Suwon Air Base, Republic of Korea. His job encompasses managing multi-million-dollar contracts and supporting over 600 tenant soldiers living and operating out of the facilities that the Air Force maintains at Suwon AB. Gaitan was recently selected for Officer Training School building on an exemplary enlisted career, one he couldn’t have imagined when nine years ago he was randomly selected for a diversity immigrant visa allowing him to leave his home country of Romania and live, study and work freely in the United States.
